Update: As of January 1, 2023, funding for Master Home Environmentalist (MHE) program has ended. As a result, we are suspending our Healthy Home Check-ups until further notice. If you want to learn more about how to improve your home’s air quality, we have free resources below as well as details on similar home visit programs available to select King County residents.

Where else to turn for help

  • Talk to our experts at the American Lung Association Lung HelpLine and Tobacco QuitLine. Our service is free and we are here to help you. You can connect with lung health experts by calling 1-800-LUNGUSA (1-800-586-4872 and press 2), submitting a question or live chat when available.
  • King County’s Community Health Worker Program offers free home visits to King County residents with poorly controlled asthma. This program offers comprehensive virtual home visits, educational materials, and supplies (such as safer cleaning kits mattress covers, HEPA vacuums, and air purifiers) to help residents control their asthma.
